Anchorage, AK – Bicyclist Hurt in Crash on W 36th Ave
One bicyclist was left seriously injured after an auto accident in the Anchorage area on Wednesday evening. At approximately 10:50 p.m., on October 14, the Anchorage Police Department responded to the scene of an auto accident on West 36th Avenue.
Reports provided by officers with APD show that a bicyclist was riding across the intersection of West 36th Avenue and C Street along with two pedestrians. As the trio entered out into the intersection, they were struck by a vehicle.
The driver pulled over their vehicle immediately following the incident and phoned for emergency services. The driver, who was not injured in the collision, remained at the scene and spoke with police after they arrived.
The bicyclist was injured in the crash. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The two other pedestrians were not injured in this accident.
At this time, the police in Anchorage are investigating the accident.
