Anchorage, AK – Fatal Two-Vehicle Collision on Seward Hwy
After receiving reports from the Soldotna Public Safety Communications Center regarding a two-vehicle collision, Alaska State Troopers responded to the scene of what turned out to be a fatal accident on Tuesday, January 12th.
Police reports show that the accident occurred at about 1:30 p.m. near mile marker 30 on the Seward Highway.
The initial investigation indicated that a 2019 Volkswagen Golf was driving northbound along Seward Highway North on the Seward Highway when it collided with an Alaska DOT & PF road grader that was actively plowing.
The driver of the Volkswagen was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not been released.
