Anchorage, AK – Chase M. Bowerson Killed in Fatal Hit & Run on Glenn Hwy

New information is available concerning a crash that was reported earlier this week. A hit and run accident took the life of one Chase M. Bowerson, 26, on January 2.

The accident occurred at approximately 8:40 a.m. on the Glenn Highway just before the Hiland exit in the westbound lanes. Bowerson was struck by a car being driven by a man identified as 25-year-old Biran McGee. McGee has been charged with Failure to Render Aid, as he attempted to flee the scene of the crash but was later apprehended by the police.

Bowerson lost his life at the scene as a result of injuries he sustained in the crash. Few other details are currently available concerning the circumstances of the incident.

The contributing factors of the collision have yet to be determined at this time. The southbound lanes of the Glenn Highway were closed for some time following the crash. The westbound lanes of the overpass at the South ER exit were also closed for a period of time, along with the frontage road.
